That Darn Christmas

A cool Holiday Fun Book from 1965, I guess it was a give-away item at Penney's stores sometime in 1965 as it's also a promotional tool for Disney's upcoming That Darn Cat film released that year. Packed full of popular Disney cartoon cats and rat action, plus other bits of bonus holiday craft fun (a litterbox screen for kitty!), games, stories, rules-- man, I'm seriously ready to stuff my face with marshmallow pussy cats!

  2. Thanks for another kewl post.

CCarol, re Thomasina. An old fave, the wiki below. Dunno what spoilers there are, but likely safer than my talking about--'cept maybe, Patrick McGoohan and Susan Hampshire are great.

  5. I like that sleigh and reindeer illustration on page twelve. But heck--I like all the illustrations on every page. I kinda want to see That Darn Cat again now, too.

  6. I remember seeing That Darn Cat at the theatre, I guess it was a revival showing sometime in the early 70's. I was definitely at an age where I still had to go into the women's restroom with my mom since it was just me and her. This is a very strong memory in my head, and possibly my first time performing as a singer in front of strangers, because I distinctly remember exiting the theatre after the movie with the That Darn Cat song blarring in my head, we went into the lobby restroom (that I thought was empty) and I was singing the song into the mirror, while my mom did her thing in one of he stalls. Some lady suddenly came out of one of the other stalls and told me what a great voice I had-- I was sooo embarrassed! More red faced than anything probably cuzza my mom draggin me into the ladies room!

  8. Man, that's a great story. I hated having to use the women's room with mom when I was very young. I don't actually remember ever doing it, but the hating it I do remember.
