It's interesting to me that the more popular posts around here at AEET seem to be these nifty old illustrated Rexall drugstore ads scanned from their yearly Family Almanac and Moon Books (see our previous posts in the archive by using the search engine at the top left.) I'm guessing these take you back in time the same way they do to me, and I understand perfectly why so many of you find this blog on google searches, as well as shared around the web at places like Pinterest and so on. Rexall continues to have the power. So come on, rub yourself down with some Transcenda, then just a dab or two of Shari behind the ear! Gents, better pop a couple Super Plenamins tablets before someone steals your girl! And don't forget to pre-order your copy of the Almanac for next year too by using the handy coupon-- or wait, no need-- because actually our next post is MORE Rexall ads from the '71 issue! See ya in a few...
oh man! i love those little back to school kids!!! and the funky coupon snowman!
ReplyDeletei wonder if that Transenda jar really looks like that! it's so cool! i'm gonna have to look into it :)
and man, that Super Anapac guy looks like his head smells like limburger cheese!!
Where I come from, the "cream of night creams" is definitely NOT Transcenda!
ReplyDeletehar.
ReplyDeleteis it brycream?
I wonder how Thru helps that man with his butt pain? Get out the handy tube and that arrow will feel like a toothpick!
ReplyDeleteI also love the cute back to school clip. Thee things are a treasure trove.
Haha, it goes right THRU you.
DeleteSurprised nobody said anything about the rude hand gesture in the Bisma Rex ad... and is the female alien from Larry Blamire's Lost Skeleton films named after Marvalove?
i see what you're saying about Bisma Rex, but he looks so sad...like he's acting out a tale of woe via charades.
ReplyDeleteand i can't comment on Marvalove. I still haven't watched the first Lost Skeleton film.
Quit dilly dallying and do it-- Dark and Stormy Night too!
ReplyDeletei saw Dark and Stormy night! i really liked it a lot! i just haven't had a chance to watch the Lost Skeletons one yet.
ReplyDeletesheesh
