A stunning, velvety vampire black-light poster produced sometime in the 60's in Eugene Oregon by Western Graphics Corporation, aka The Gods of Black Light Posters(cat. #351, title: Night Flight.)Special thanks to my friend Lori for hooking me up!
I believe that's a Transylvania sunset, and also why Drac has such a pained expression on his face! Hope to find a blacklight bulb soon... I guess it's time to go to Spencer's.
I had this poster on my wall as a teenager in Monterey County, California. I literally left it on the wall (along with many other possessions) when I left home. Kicking myself now. 38 years later, would love to have it now.
Score! You don't see a Dracula flying over the Martian landscape every day. Bet it's totally far out under the black light, too, man.

ReplyDeleteI knew the Prof would be in on this one! Welcome back, friend!
ReplyDeleteI'll be unearthing (aka unrolling) other examples of these velvet masterpieces for you later this summer too.
That is awesome! What a great poster!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! This is amazing. The velvet, the detail, those colors? Dracula?! Jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Belle and Beebe!
