Old South Bar-B-Q Ranch in Clewiston, Florida? Actually, our choice has already been made for us (click
HERE) as the
Old South Ranch closed shop sometime in the 90's. As much as I love old west kitsch with my sizzlin' meat, nothing beats grillin' it yourself!

Sheeeit. I'm from North Carolina. Whatever that was they were selling down in Florida, that wasn't barbecue. Looks more like marinated steak to me. Or whatever that Texas stuff is usually called.
ReplyDeleteHaha, well I'm from STL and I say our BBQ here is the best! It's funny how people think that the only BBQ that matters is the BBQ from their state or hometown, I've heard it a billion times... I've had BBQ all over the USA and to tell you the truth, the best I ever had was in Hawaii. And it was Korean BBQ.
ReplyDeleteOh I agree. the Korean barbecue in my hometown is the absolute best. What they do with baby octopus is about my favorite food ever. (When I was actually in Korea, I didn't even have the time to find a good BBQ joint--it was all pizza places and microwave soup cups. Which was also awesome).
ReplyDeleteBut I had to riff on what seems to me to be the age-old "southern pork vs. Texan beef barbeque" battle. Honestly, I'm a fish-eating vegetarian so I couldn't care less.
