Little Hiawatha and Princess Moonbeam

Two boldly designed, vintage brochures from the 1950's or 60's with interesting Native American Indian tourist themes to lure you to their destinations. In our first, a cute and spunky "Little Hiawatha" shows you a variety of ways to enjoy life in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, while in our second, a genuine, 300 year old Indian princess mummy named "Moonbeam" beckons to you from her scenic Garden of the Gods! There's plenty to do and see at both vacation spots, which will you pick?

  3. if i'd seen Princess Moonbeam as a kid i would have expected her to look like the ballyhoo portrays her and would have been good and freaked out when i actually saw her...

  4. If I was in charge of the Garden of the Gods on Halloween, I'd lure everyone into the dimly lit, giant viewer room, and as I pan the viewer slowly around the landscape and scenic rock formations, I'd suddenly pull a quick Roger Corman style zip cut/zoom to a close-up of Princess Moonbeam's face, and then plunge the room into darkness-- AIEEEE!!! *queue sound of heartbeat, and Vincent Price narration from Morella.*

  9. I remember seeing Princess Moonbeam when I was a kid. It was the neatest thing. I know we had the postcard but it was lost a long time ago. Thanks for the memory.

  10. I did see Moonbeam when a kid and, yes, she did kind of freak me out ... or maybe repelled me. In any event, I still have the GOTG brochure that is displayed here, as well as the postcard. I'm 69 now, so they must be at least 59 years old.
