Venus Over-Eating

We're still trying to finish up all of those terrific Thanksgiving leftovers from last week around here! Yep, too much good food = too much added baggage around the 'ol midsection! Good thing New Years is coming soon so we can dive back into all of those unresolved resolutions that we left danglin' in the 2025 winter wind. You know, what we really needed was more of the Sure Way To Prevent Over-eating utensils method, and less shakins from the gay! practical! and amusing! "Venus" salt 'n pepper shakers! We seasoned that bird and all the trimmings too good, I tells ya!

Also, vintage gag gift boxes o'kitsch like these make great xmas presents, just sayin'...

  1. It's not museum worthy but that's a decent sculpt! I'm not really sure how well those two holes are going to work but I'm not sure if anybody ever used these as anything but a gag gift.

Is that silverware really metal, like they got actual silverware and wrecked it, or some kind of fake shiny material?

  2. I don't need any cutlery to eat all the bread I want! I'll just sponge the butter up!

That's pretty funny stuff. I've seen boxes with one chopstick, too. And I'm really quite smitten with those Fernando Botero-looking Venuses de Milo. I'm sure it's quite a work out to get much in the way of salt and pepper out of them, though.

  3. The salt and pepper shakers are in almost brand new condition, though the box has seen some rough days. It is uncommon for the box to survive, usually it is discarded after the item is bought.

I had seen the dieter's knife, fork and spoon before, I wonder if they ever were made out of metal once upon a time.
