Oh god, more candy containers...

Yeah, but I promise this is the end of 'em this year-- for now! And I'm sure anyone who's ever received these can agree, they were always fun stocking stuffer type presents to get back in the day; I'd definitely prefer these over a box of Queen Anne chocolate covered Cordial Cherries, even if the cheapo candy was nowhere near as tasty. Seriously, what movie lovin' kid like myself wouldn't want their super sugar rush and eventual case of tooth rot coming from within a dinosaur, alien, or killer shark?! Or a laundry machine, boom box, or lantern, for that matter?

  1. Wow, there's a lot I've never seen here. I saw and think I actually had the ET, but haven't seen any of these others.

I'm fascinated by the washing machine! I love the controls art, it's big and bold and it reads washing machine right away.

I also like the smug look on the dinosaur. All of these are winners!

  2. I remember having that shark candy dispenser, what happened to the one I had I have no idea. Thanks for posting the candy containers, especially the shark one from my youth. I consider all your posts gifts, Christmas or otherwise.

  3. Oh my yes. As a child of the seventies, I am always pretty depressed to eat candy out of a boring old bag. A box is okay--that's what movie candy came in--but I expect some kind of kitsch container otherwise: A giant candy cane full of M&M's, a prospector's pouch full of golden bubblegum, paper straws full of flavored dust. And of course the kinds of things you've been posting.

Like everybody else, I'm totally into that Topps washer. Were there shits and underwear shapes in that? the mind agitates! What a great idea! Some clothes for Mr. Bones!
