Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man: Castle Films Super 8

I guess if you think you don't have the time to sit down and watch Universal's "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man", you could always settle for the ferocious 4 minute Super 8 fight highlights version from Castle Films (CLICK HERE for it!) My buddy Brad found this reel for me last weekend, and then my other buddy Mike pointed out how nice it is to see artwork on the box that actually looks like Lugosi in the Frankenstein role, vs. the iconic original 1943 movie poster image.

It does look like Lugosi as Frank. Cool find, for sure!

Used to love watching the monster match-ups! I wish Universal would get the 'Horror Universe' thing right and do some proper period-style horror films again!

Four minutes of monster excellence. I like the cover painting, too. It looks like board game art.

My favorite Universal monster film, and it's not so much the monster fights but the character moments. Talbot's desire to die (which finds him freaking out when the town sings about life), the new scientist completely switching gears when confronted with bringing the monster back to full strength are my favorite parts.

I do like how they are really following the timeline; this is the Ygor-brained monster who is blind.

The Wolf Man should be thankful for the flood he was really getting his furry butt handed to him at the end!

Out of all the Castle Films I bought, this is the only one that remains intact in the original box. The others I spliced together on 400 ft. reels so I could watch them longer without changing them out! Watched all of them with a Eumig Super 8 projector.
