Frank 'N' Furter Doll

Forgot to show you all the Frank 'N' Furter Rocky Horror Picture Show doll I picked up a few weeks ago... quite fabulous, isn't it? An 18" (tall) Spencer's Gift store exclusive, (only 30,000 made) with hard plastic head, hands, and legs, real hair, an inner wire frame body, and comes with two hot-patootie dress mode options: revealingly iconic Sweet Transvestite sparkle glam, or in the more professional medical green lab coat that all good mad scientists should wear whilst performing erotically charged sexperiments in their rock 'n roll castle of naughty science fictional nightmares. Originally packaged in a beautiful box with a bonus poster (which I unfortunately do not have), and apparently (according to THIS WEBSITE) one could also be treated to a rousing snippet of the Time Warp by simply squeezing the stomach, --unfortunately, mine no longer even makes a whimper. But still, look at that face. The make-up. It's perfect. As is the hair and outfits. The cabbage patch kid body is a little weird when you first remove the lab coat, though this allows Frankie to not only be very touch'a touch'a squishy squeezy, but also posable in a variety of ways that will absolutely make... you... a... maaaaan! So come up to the lab, and etc etc etc...

  1. That's a really interesting construction (I don't know much about how a lot of dolls were built, I suspect this might have been a standard but I never really had or collected any of them.) I like him with the lab coat better, there's something slightly off putting (to my OCD) with the change over from hard plastic extensions to soft body ...

... I guess he's the ultimate dad bod!

The sculpt is really good in the face, in really good condition, too! I like that they took the extra effort to give him a belly button.

  2. Unlike so many tie-in dolls and products, this one really captures the subject (Tim Curry) beautifully. -- Mykal

  3. I would be very interested in other characters from the film transformed into a doll like this as well, especially a Riff Raff and Magenta in their alien outfits.

Okay, thanks for the comments... "I'm... going... home..."

  4. My favorite three details in no particular order: The tattoo, that convincingly scaled pearl choker, and Frank's completely perfect hair. I don't remember Spencer Gifts having anything this cool in the old days, back when I used to hang at the mall. Must have gotten lost between the cans of "Whoop-Ass" and the Ferrari posters.
