Nasty Tricks

I just realized I neglected the whole "trick" part of Halloween trick 'r treating this year, so here we go with something old that's new again to AEET. First off, you've probably seen the countless "unboxing" vids on Youtube of youtubers, umm, unboxing stuff, right? Well, today we're going to do something similar, only this time we're digging up an old, and still sealed package of Fun Stuff's Nasty Tricks trading cards from the 80's, and ::drum roll:: we're gonna unwrap 'em! For those unaware, Nasty Tricks was a hilarious set of 130 different "screwy" cards, plus "gross and goofy" stickers that you could "use everywhere." And let's not forget the wonderfully stale slab o'gum awaiting to powder your lips while simultaneously destroying your teeth! Hurrah! You don't even need a gross tooth sticker, cuz of course the illustrated stickers are absolutely the best part of this set, as you are encouraged to gross yourself up with gory fake wounds, oozing body mucus, icky insects, and more! Okay, enough yap, let's open this goddamn thing and see what we got:

  1. I was with the Cracked level shenanigans until I saw the dentist appointment one, ouch!

I actually love the fuzzy printing on the scab/boogers. It really works for making them gross! And the little bug popping out of the mustache.

The only thing missing is your review of how the gum tasted!

    1. As a special offer I'll do the dental one for you for free! Whether you need them or not.

  2. The lips and zipper stickers are awfully suggestive for a product aimed at the playground set. There's also the possibility that their inspiration was from the Rolling Stones' logo, and their "Sticky Fingers" album.

  3. Love the mustache and the freeky toothy lips on the same card. I also really dig the zipper for some reason. That's the one I think I'd get the most use out of. Just give me twenty of them for my parachute pants!

  4. Hmm, I don't know about that Spring Fling and "Sheep Dip" celebration..... OMG, lol.

Just imagine being the artist who illustrated these. What did that conversation sound like: "I'm sorry, you want me to what? Paint... boogers and... scabs...? And someone's paying me for this??" ;D
