Picking up where I left off in the last post, we move onto Christmas 1971 where we see me (still an only child for another year!) getting a rad load of goodies from Santa: Playskool Zoo, Smash-Up Derby, Talking Picture Puzzle, and I forget the name of the phone / cartridge thing that me and my aunt are playing with alongside the cassette recorder. Oh! You sensitive types may want to shield your eyes from that sexy nude Rodin statue on the table! I rounded out this group with a pic of me holding my baby sister on xmas eve the following year! Then in the second group of scans, it's 1972 / '73 --my first xmas without dad :( -- getting a rifle, and in serious need of a better haircut! I rounded out these shots with a flash forward bonus, no-girl-gettin' xmess photo of me during my nerdy junior high years-- dear lord gimme that bowl-cut back! (NOTE: gumdrop wreath in background!)

i don't see a bad haircut here! Even the dorky jr high one isn't bad. Although I do think that everyone should be required to wear bags over their heads throughout all of jr high.
Is high school next?!?! I can't wait!
"My photo albums are strangely bare of anything from '74 through '78, although I'm sure my mom has tons... I do have a few shots from '79 though that I'll post!" he said, with a bag over his head.
i'm missing tons. my mom wasn't very organized and the majority of the kid pics seem to have disappeared. so i'll just live vicariously through you - except for '74-'78.
I'll be at my mom's on xmas soon enough, I'll see what else she has... she is actually incredibly organized when it comes to photos. The problem is that alot of stuff during those years was developed on slides and I don't have access to those currently.
Busy Box! These are great.
I wish I still had my Smash-Up Derby cars! I loved the dented parts that flew off and revvin them up
I'm with Carol. I think your prissy Harvard junior high school look is pretty damn cool. I'll dig up one of mine, sometime. I had a puffy gray suede coat and lots of velour.
They should make a movie about us, Mr C, called Prissy and Puffy Go to Harvard.
I'll bring along muh dawg Screwball. Wait'll they get a load of my mullet up in New Haven!
