This is really cool - but what's up with the super rabid, grabby party goers?

Oh! So that must be brain sausage on those toothpicks!

Isn't "canapés" code for human brains?

I think you're right. I believe the origin of the word canape comes from the English "can" meaning "from a can" and "ape" which can loosely be translated as "man brains."

Really cool. I wish they were selling things like that in the recipe books section.

This is great art! I'm loving the fact that there is a logical narrative progression throughout the booklet. I'm not sure I've ever seen something like this done that way. I really love how nervous the woman looks throughout, how tired they've gotten by the end of all this nonsense.

Also, this is a pretty damn excellent little bartending guide. Replace all this booze with better brand names, and these drink recipes definitely cover all the basics. I might have to print this out, actually.

If there is a storyline to this I need to know why the stork makes an appearance on page nine. Also, did that jockey score with any (or all) of those chicks?!!

I love the old dude munchin crackers as a giant lobster flys over his head.

That jockey would never cheat on his horse. Look at the trust in those equine eyes....

I'm pretty sure this whole party is just a front to get that blustering ambassador in the same house as that mysterious heiress in pink. Later on there will be an under-cranked chase scene from room to room. And then a gorilla will escape from the zoo.

K:
The Macs posted a series of vintage drink mixer booklets here:
http://widerangedistortion.blogspot.com/

They posted three booklets this time.

(BTW, This site was a vintage music blog that had gotten closed down by the music nazis [The MNs had flagged a budget cha cha LP on a defunct label from 1950, can you believe it?]. The Macs went private somewhere else, but they post printed things on this site from time to time.)
