It's Halloween....

From the Karswell Greeting Kard Kollection, an assortment of wonderfully illustrated children's Halloween cards for you today, ranging from the 1940's through the 1960's, courtesy of American Greetings, Norcross, and Hallmark. The first card originally opened up with a rather large, scary spider that popped out from the gatefold, (unfortunately it has long since scurried off to that great web in the sky.) Also note the smiling ghost on the front of the third card is adorned with tiny, sparkly grains. Happy Halloween to everyone!

  3. I don't know which I love more between the outside of number three or the inside of four. Awesome as always! I wish you'd posted this back when I was looking for a web background for my own project (the Groucho witch). Man, the inside of number one would have been perfect.

  5. I meant to post these earlier in the month but seriously had zero time for anything... October is usually like that. Still have a bunch of halloween things to post that I never got around to. Should we keep going with them, or should I just save them for next year?

  6. I personally would love to see more - unless that will leave you with nothing for next year :) - at least until xmas rolls around cause I love vintage xmas stuff too (if you have any, that is)!

  8. Dude, you know I'd be happy to see Halloween stuff all though November. God knows I couldn't care less about Thanksgiving stuff (except I'm sure only you could probably dig up something I'd totally crush on). So my vote is go for it.

  9. Yep, I think I have some thanksgiving material you might enjoy... I'll mix it up this month with some leftover Oct horror and other various stuff.
