Another brain-teasing, rib-tickling chapter from Martin Dell's "Puzzle Fun" collection (Pocket Book, 1963), 14 puzzlers wonderfully illustrated by the great Mort Drucker (also see "Tickle Title" illustrated by Wally Wood by clicking HERE! ) FYI: I'm thinking we'll finish out Sept. 2012 with Vic Martin's "Comicode" section as well...
I'm surprised to discover that I like today's Mort Drucker stuff even better than yesterday's Wally Wood stuff. I love the plump little people and his sketchy curly lines. And, woof, some of these mejlubs were pretty damn hard.
ReplyDeleteThe art is great on both for sure... and wait'll you see the adorably plump lil bikini girls in the Vic Martin section!
ReplyDeleteI actually get a kick out of the scrambled words more than anything, and seriously thinking about changing my name to Gorybit Everwip now.
Drucker was always my favorite guy at Mad. Anything by him is tops in my book! Thanks Kars........
