Heavenly Angel (Xmas Leftover Edition)

Made in Japan in the 60's expressly for the General Electric Co., this adorable lighted xmas tree topper was found at an antique mall for $5.00 and I couldn't pass it up --I mean, just look at that cute face! The box is in rough shape but everything seems complete... I included pictures of her fully lit up too, just so you can see how amazing this lil angel really is!

  1. Anyone interested in buying one for their own tree for next year, here's one (of a few) currently listed on ebay:

  3. I found a pair of these angles that aren't light up, but have the same face, hair and clothes. Mine are built on a paper cone. I really like your glowing one!

  4. Prof: I had a neat little square AM radio when I was a kid, and when I say "little" I mean it was tiny, about the size of a matchbook and it played great. Someone stole it out of my desk though in 2nd grade and I never got it back.

Amber: youre right! suddenly i notice her little face popping up on all kinds of dolls and stuff, in fact just the other day I saw some neat geisha knick knacks from Japan with the same eyes close expression.

    Thanks for the comments!

  5. I have the same exact angel! In the same company box too! but I've never lit her up. She really glows! Very cool picture! :)

I really like those angels and their fuzzy hair, I'm sad because I use to have a blue one..she must've flew back to kitsch heaven?

  6. Is yours missing the electrical cord, Colleen? I couldn't wait to get home with mine and plug her in. And you're right, the fuzzy hair is definitely the best part!

  7. For some reason, I never took her out of the box! even on display! I'll have to check and see. She'll be all lit up next year for sure! [if she has the cord] :)

  8. Make sure the room is totally dark the first time you plug her in... I guarantee she will take your breathe away!
