Trick or Treat Candy Bag Art

There's a zillion bloggers posting about vintage trick or treat candy bag art this year, so I guess I'll join in the fun. And some of these featured here today have undoubtably already turned up on many other sites in the past, but the thing I find really annoying-- itty bitty scans! So here are some non-itty bitty scans from my own collection (just click to ENLARGE!), and if there's a few here you've never seen before then great.

  3. Oddly enough, I forgot all about those little trick or treat bags. These bring back some great memories! I remember sorting out my Halloween candy at the end of the night by good stuff, mediocre, and crap! Did you scan these or did you find online? Thanks for sharing!

  4. These are scanned from my own collection Jen... I actually have a few more I found the other day in an old box of stuff and I might post them too later this month. Thanks for looking!

  5. Nice post, love the bag, I hope to have one, anyway speaking of Halloween I found this website http://www.thatsmyface.com/f/masks that can create a super-realistic mask of anyone from just a photo. Imagine going as yourself, your boss, your favorite celebrity or worst enemy to a Halloween party?!

  6. Karswell: The thing I get a kick about is that third scan with "Made In The USA" printed at the bottom of that one bag with the black cat. I even got a kick out of my own gut reaction: "Goddamn right!"

  7. i remember these. i remember one year my cousin and i put rocks and tree bark in them and stapled them shut, and then gave them out to the trigger-treaters. each time we gave one out and they said "thanks!" i felt a little ashamed of myself, but the shame-to-joy ratio was unbalanced and evil won out.
