Nothing about the drink itself. I mean, I know the can design went from the confusing "Dis-Go Beer" with non-alcoholic written really tiny above, to "Dis-Go Near Beer" (like this one) sometime in the seventies. But I don't know if it was root beer, or some actual non-alcoholic brew like O'Doul's or Sharps. I do know there is a "Dis-Go Soda"--in grape and cherry(?) flavors--with the very same art that varied by color scheme. Those were certainly not brewed, so maybe this one wasn't either.

And maybe this stuff was just regional? It's weird that nobody seems to have ever taken a drink out of one of these cans, or seen one of them in the wild.
Mr. Cavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01634994342702518448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-88813974729859571592022-11-29T13:15:36.883-06:002022-11-29T13:15:36.883-06:00At 1976 I would have been old enough to remember t...At 1976 I would have been old enough to remember this but I either forgot or it was regional or just never ran into it.

I like the groovy retro (for the time!) art, I especially like the hair on the go-go disco dancer woman, how the big lock cascades down into the eye and makes part of the nose.
