It comes from the way the character design has over sized feet and hands, thus "bigfoot." - Mickey Mouse (character) and Floyd Gottfredson (cartoonist) for example. Felix the Cat and Otto Messmer is another example of the style and the cartoonist. Today, the style today is often called "Cartoony," which is a term I've never been able to get behind. It's like defining the color blue as "bluey" to me.Mykal Bantahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12148489896145024134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-44781258390395301002012-06-27T16:19:19.353-05:002012-06-27T16:19:19.353-05:00Bigfoot?Bigfoot?Mr. Karswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15889717828895556186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-34417802707079744082012-06-27T15:34:38.143-05:002012-06-27T15:34:38.143-05:00Outstanding stuff. I still think these title was one of their best "bigfoot" cartooning efforts. As you say, the writing really captured the superior TV show well.Mykal Bantahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12148489896145024134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-51829654245625479552012-06-26T07:12:26.031-05:002012-06-26T07:12:26.031-05:00That's cool, they're all individual storie...That's cool, they're all individual stories that can be read on their own and not connected in any way. I'll see if I can find more Kilgore examples for future posts too... thanks for the comments!Mr. Karswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15889717828895556186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-78536120880863456672012-06-25T19:06:27.695-05:002012-06-25T19:06:27.695-05:00Looks beautiful! But from the cursory examination I gave it while scrolling down to the comment button, it looks like it's going to be wonderful. I really, really dig this style of making comics, using color rather than lines for the panel borders.Mr. Cavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01634994342702518448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136311233296776036.post-2666583438272356202012-06-25T09:44:21.341-05:002012-06-25T09:44:21.341-05:00Ewwps!
