"The Floating Robot!" I always feel fear at certain types of robot locomotion methods!
Nice art. I love the charcoal kind of artwork in the interior, and the Amazon bit has really great feel of motion and weight and I love her really impractical pointing costume.
I'm charmed by the two guys, both smoking, dropping their different death sticks and pipes in amazement, at the same time!
Great expressions on the robot cartoon, especially the robot face, in a few economical lines. That's good cartooning!
Decades ago these fantasy magazines were bought by those who enjoyed sci fi and horror fantasy but considered themselves too grown up to read, let alone buy, adventure or horror comics. How things have changed, especially with the acceptance of graphic novels by today's readers.
Some of the stories in fantasy magazines were later 'borrowed' by horror, sci fi or adventure comics, after more than a little reworking to avoid copyright claims.
The Strand Magazine introduced the world to Sherlock Holmes, The Vagrant and later Weird Tales introduced Lovecraft to the minds of horror fans worldwide, these magazines gave fame, or at least an income, for writers of fantasy tales.
This magazine seems to be in very fine shape considering its age. Is it from the forties or fifties? It is a real gem of a find.
Lovely work from top to bottom. I feel like I've rarely seen a classical old cover robot that seemed more like a blueprint for Tom Servo. And I have to second Mr. Barnes' love for the Amazon's costume. Whatta space vamp! And I see her daughter's already wearing a similar cap. Amazoning must be the family business.

Thanks for posting this.
I love the expressions on the two spawns' faces, both like slightly bemused little old people.
